In this review, we’re taking a look at Inquisition (1976), the gothic Euro-horror film written and directed by legendary Spanish horror icon Paul Naschy.

Set during a plague-ridden witch hunt in medieval France, Inquisition follows Bernard de Fossey, an inquisitor tasked with rooting out witchcraft and heresy. When tragedy strikes a young woman named Catherine, she turns to dark forces for answers, setting off a chain of events involving Satanic pacts, religious hypocrisy, witch trials, occult rituals, torture chambers, and plenty of classic 1970s European horror atmosphere.
